hi, there!
I knew I wanted a profession where I could offer support and care to others.
I am an individual and family therapist focusing on work with individuals struggling with eating disorders, fat and body liberation concerns, trauma and dissociation, LGBTQ+ experiences, disability/chronic illness experiences, anxiety, life transitions/adjustments, and somatization. I work with folks ages 6-64 individually as well as families.
I RECOGNIZE THAT EACH INDIVIDUAL HAS A UNIQUE STORY TO TELL.
I identify as a fat, queer, disabled, neurodivergent white woman. I am also a lifelong born-and-raised Oregonian and have lived in Eugene for over 11 years.
I received my Bachelor of Science in Family and Human Services from the Clark Honors College at the University of Oregon. During that time, I had the privilege of working in multiple different social services agencies in the Lane County area with children recovering from trauma, children navigating the foster care system, adults with developmental disabilities, after-school programs, and early childhood prevention services.
I went on to receive my Master of Social Work degree from Portland State University, which allowed me the ability to work with adults who were unhoused, adults struggling with severe mental health concerns and substance use, and individuals of all ages with eating disorders. I also had the opportunity to focus some of my clinical work on providing integrated mental health services within a local federally-qualified health clinic, where I worked with teens and adults receiving mental and medical health care at the clinic. I also had the privilege of offering focused trainings on utilizing a Health at Every Size and weight neutral approach in primary care settings.
Most recently, I worked in a large group private practice in Eugene for 3.5 years, where I had the pleasure of working with incredible therapists and clients full-time. I was a part of the agency’s Anti-Racism Task Force and later, the agency’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee. I also provided several trainings for my peers on combating fatphobia in psychotherapy settings and utilizing a Health at Every Size and weight neutral lens in psychotherapy.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my partner and our cat, Pancake, being outdoors, crocheting, and doing craft projects.
